Morocco is generally welcoming to visitors, and millions travel there each year without difficulty. As anywhere, it helps to arrive prepared: persistent selling, unsolicited offers of help and occasional scams do happen, particularly in the busiest medinas. Travelling with a host who knows the country makes those situations much easier to handle, and we'll give you practical guidance before you go. We won't promise nothing uncomfortable can ever happen — but you won't be dealing with it on your own.

They do happen, and they tend to find people who are alone and unsure of where they are. You'll have a Moroccan host beside you, and we'll walk you through the common ones in advance so you recognise them early. If something does come up, you won't be sorting it out by yourself.

Solo travellers, many of them women, are among the happiest guests in small-group travel. You'll have a local host, a group of twelve that tends to become friends quickly, and honest guidance on dress and etiquette. You keep your independence — you just don't have to navigate everything alone.

Generally no — U.S. and Canadian passport holders typically don't need a visa for tourist stays of up to 90 days, on a passport valid for the length of the trip. Rules change, so confirm current requirements before you travel.
